Celestine (Cy) Donnelly studied Fine Arts at Herron School of Art and Indiana University Bloomington. She taught Art in private and public elementary schools in Indianapolis and Carmel, Indiana. She now teaches and paints at The Art Studio of Carmel, which she founded with fellow art teachers in 2012. Cy paints in mixed media: watercolor, acrylics, colored pencils, pastels, markers and collage. She has exhibited in various shows throughout Indiana. Her father, Crawford Donnelly, was a prominent Indiana artist and one of the founders of The Watercolor Society of Indiana.
Penny Roberson studied Fine Arts at Indiana University, Bradley Univ., and the Herron School of Art. After a professional career at Art Education, she now paints full time in her studio.
Penny paints landscapes, still life, and figures in both oil and watercolor in the style of the American Impressionists with a special interest in the prairie flowers and natural beauty of Hamilton County. She is an exhibiting member of the Hoosier Salon and the Hamilton County Artists Association.
Penny has won Honorable Mentions, an Award of Merit, and Best of Show at the Winter Exhibit of the Nickel Plate Arts in Noblesville. Most recently, she won First Place with an oil painting "Early Morning" (pictured) at the Nature's Inspirations exhibition at the Cool Creek Nature Center.
